Construction Labour Relations

The construction industry in Ontario is highly specialized and is governed by a unique legislative framework. Our firm has extensive experience in advising and representing construction employers and employer organizations in all labour relations matters arising in the construction industry and are familiar with the nature of the industry and the intricacies of the legislation governing it. Our lawyers regularly provide advice and representation with respect to collective bargaining in the construction sector, the interpretation of construction collective agreements, certification applications in the construction industry, jurisdictional disputes, related employer/sale of business applications, unfair labour practice complaints and expedited arbitration and grievance referrals to the Ontario Labour Relations Board. In addition, our firm defends constructors, employers and supervisors in the construction industry against charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
